The 20th Century saw the evolution of a new art form in America: comics. It was distinguished by a graphic sensibility that relied on bold images and strong typefaces to punctuate the story line. In the 1970’s, this art form was reexamined and given an ironic twist in Pop Art. These earrings pays homage to both.
