Tissage Moutet

Celebrating 150 years of craftsmanship, and passion for weaving, Tissage Moutet has been weaving threads, traditions, and stories since 1874 in the South-west of France. The family-owned business—now led by its fifth-generation, Benjamin Moutet (great-great-grandson of the founder, Jean-Baptiste Moutet) combines tradition with modernity: working with a team of in-house designers, Tissage Moutet creates complex patterns woven on jacquard looms. Tissage Moutet has been awarded two distinctions in France: the geographical guarantee “Indication Géographique Linge basque" which provides assurance that a product's manufacture is local and respectful of traditions, and “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” which is a mark of recognition from the state which distinguishes French companies who combine tradition and modern innovation.
