Barkley L. Hendricks (1945–2017) fue originalmente un estudiante de pintura de paisajes en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Pensilvania a fines de la década de 1960, donde también descubrió su amor por la fotografía. Barkley L. Hendricks

Barkley L. Hendricks (1945-2017) was a highly acclaimed American artist known for his captivating portraits that celebrated the beauty, dignity, and individuality of Black people. Born in 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hendricks developed a passion for art from an early age and pursued his studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Yale University.
