Die Progress Pride-Flagge wurde entworfen von Daniel Quasar als Neuauflage der Pride-Flagge, die ursprünglich 1978 vom Künstler Gilbert Baker entworfen wurde. (Eine von Bakers Regenbogenflaggen befindet sich in der Sammlung des Museum of Modern Art.) Diese Version fügt am linken Rand neue Farben hinzu, die Trans- und Randgemeinschaften in Pfeilform repräsentieren und so Fortschritte anzeigen, während die traditionellen Farben des Pride-Regenbogens im Hauptteil des Designs verbleiben.
