Hand-Painted Classic Vase, Indigo

Hand-crafted ceramics from Cape Town, the southern tip of Africa. Established in 1986, Potterswork has evolved from a tiny seaside shop to a small studio to an expansive workshop in Cape Town, South Africa. Our creative team of 25 consists of fettlers, kiln specialists, mould-makers, slip-casters and artists, all from the surrounding communities. We all work together to produce our beautiful hand-made and hand-painted ceramics.

Over the years our artists have developed the abstract African aesthetic for which Potterswork has become known around the world. The artists work within this design language to create their own unique pieces. Typically each design is different unless specific quantities have been ordered.
