About Sharmaine Kwan
Sharmaine Kwan is an artist from Hong Kong who works in a range of areas including painting, illustration, contemporary art, video and design. She has long been interested in Chinese painting as it was one of the very first art mediums she started practising at the age of five, and has always been fascinated by its versatility and endless possibilities. Having participated in various art trips and events, she had the opportunity to exchange thoughts and receive advice from renowned Hong Kong Chinese painting masters, and artists and professors from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, which has given her insight on different perspectives. Sharmaine has also received numerous awards from international art competitions and her work has been shown in exhibitions worldwide in different cities such as London, Moscow, Athens, Seoul and Beijing.
