About the Artist

Dafna Kaffeman

Dafna Kaffeman (born 1972, Jerusalem) is an artist and a senior lecturer at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. She works with glass and various materials and techniques such as embroidery, print, drawing. She lives and works in Israel. Her work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions, and she has won, or been nominated for, a number of international prizes and awards.

Carolyn Swan Needell

Carolyn Swan Needell, Ph.D., is the Carolyn and Richard Barry Curator of Glass here at the Chrysler Museum of Art. Swan Needell is an expert in ancient and modern glass and also holds valuable glassblowing and casting experience that pairs well with the Chrysler Museum’s Perry Glass Studio. Swan Needell has specialized in the study of glass for more than 15 years. She holds a doctorate from Brown University, master’s degrees from the University of Leicester and University College London and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.

Irena Gordon is Chief Curator of Petach Tikva Museum of Art, and former Chief Curator of the Jerusalem Print Workshop.
