Rulers of the World are 12-inch wooden rulers, made in the U.S.A. of American-grown basswood (which comes from the linden tree,) coated with a clear lacquer and printed with non-toxic ink. On one side, the ruler has measurements in both inches and centimeters. The people listed on the other side were (or are) "rulers" in their field.

Rulers of Art

Includes women who excelled in many areas; you'll find writers, artists, musicians, scientists, aviators, political figures, an educator, a dancer, and a chef.

Harriet Tubman (1820-1913, depicted at the top of the ruler,) escaped slavery and subsequently made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.

Great Women Rulers of Art

Women and men who contributed to American culture, with a heavy emphasis on the Abolitionist Movement of the mid-19th century and the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s.

Frederick Douglass (1817-1895, depicted at the top of the ruler,) an early activist, was a social reformer, abolitionist, orator, writer, and statesman.
