Michelle Jing Chan (she/her) is a queer Chinese American author-illustrator who left behind engineering and economics to create empowering stories for kids and teens. Her work celebrates diversity, self-acceptance, and the kinds of books she wishes she'd had growing up. Featured in the Wing Luke Museum, Buzzfeed, and Upworthy, Michelle’s illustrations have earned accolades from Hindi’s Libraries and the Children’s Book Council. When not drawing, she’s likely reading, petting cats, or chasing ghosts in video games.
