Made in USA
The definition of "mobile" artwork, as proposed by Marcel Duchamp in 1931, has altered since then. Initially, it was used to depict Alexander Calder's early, machine-made pieces. At this time, "mobile" was identical to "kinetic art" and referred to sculptures wherein motion was a critical feature.

About the Artist, Alexander Calder

Alexander Calder (American, 1898–1976) was one of the most brilliantly inventive artists of the 20th century. Though he is best remembered for his sculpture, and particularly for his mobiles, he produced a variety of other works during his extraordinarily prolific career. These included paintings, lithographs, jewelry, toys, and designs for limited edition textiles.
