Founded by Ardys Allport in 1982 in her garage, Allport Editions is now owned and operated by Mackenzie Jeans, who managed the company for ten years before acquiring it in 2013. Mackenzie hails from Reno, NV but also lived in New Orleans before returning to family and Portland.
