Soft Stripes Necklace: Multicolor

Alicia Niles was born in Venezuela but calls Hamilton, Canada her home. She pursued her education and training at John Abbott College, Mount Allison University, the Ontario College of Art and Design, and George Brown College.

In 2003 Alicia chose to further explore the intersection of beauty and design when she fell in love with glass, and eventually lamp-working and bead-making. She pursued her explorations in glass through classes at Sheridan College.

In 2013 Alicia opened Barton Street Studio, a studio and gallery space in Hamilton, Ontario. Alicia divides her time between her studio work and doing shows all across Canada and the United States. Her beautiful jewelry and glass vessels can be seen in shops and galleries throughout North America. Alicia finds inspiration for her colorful jewelry designs from the natural world around her, from her passion for gardening, and her love of the sea.
