About the Artist

Bandhu Scott Dunham

Bandhu Scott Dunham is an American glass artist whose work combines technical mastery with playful imagination. Trained at institutions such as Pilchuck and Penland after early studies at Princeton, he developed his craft through the centuries-old tradition of lampworking—shaping molten glass in the flame. Over the years, his practice has expanded from elegant goblets and vessels to kinetic sculptures and intricate menorahs, each piece balancing fragility, strength, and storytelling.

Based in Arizona, Dunham also operates his studio Salusa Glassworks and is recognized internationally as both an artist and educator. His sculptures can be found in major collections including the Corning Museum of Glass and the Museum of Arts and Design. In addition to his studio work, he is the author of Contemporary Lampworking, a definitive guide for glass artists worldwide, and continues to teach and inspire through workshops and lectures across the globe.
