Handmade Wool Ornament: Barn Swallow

Barn Swallows are the world's most widespread species, and can be found in the Northern Hemisphere. They prefer open country and often make their homes in barns and homes. Swallow (and Swallow tattoos) are popular among sailors and other travelers as symbols of safe voyage, due to the bird's long migrations. Our ornamental birds are crafted with soft fine merino wool, and feature exceptional felting workmanship. They make great conversation pieces and educational tools for bird lovers, and their cute details bring a smile to everyone's face. Each bird includes a string loop and info card with its name. They are handmade by artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal, using non-toxic, azo-free dyes and 100% natural wool; wool scraps are recycled for new products.
