Egyptian gods traditionally judged the worthiness of deceased souls by weighing their heart against the feather of Ma-at in a process known as the judgment of the dead. Papyrus is a writing surface made of pith from the papyrus plant and was widely used in ancient times. This replica of a Book of the Dead illustration is hand-painted on genuine papyrus paper in Cairo. The scene and background info is printed in the back of the packaging.
