Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) was a game-changing figure in modern architecture. His designs, driven by an in-depth comprehension of nature, reflect organic shapes. His mission to "improve life and create a better world to inhabit" is commemorated by the UNESCO World Heritage List and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.

Frank Lloyd Wright designed a house in Rye, NY for automotive importer Max Hoffman and a Jaguar dealership in the heart of New York City. The elegant, interlocking circles with square accents comprised the rug of Hoffman's living room, though it remained unwoven upon Wright's death in 1957. Eventually, the piece was brought to fruition and placed in the living room of Wright's Taliesin home in Spring Green, Wisconsin.
