Collecting With Vision: Treasures from the Chrysler Museum of Art

This volume presents a selection of the Chrysler Museum of Art's extensive collection, including works by iconic American painters like Cole, Copley, Bierstadt, Cassatt, Hopper, and Homer; Italian masters Filippino Lippi and Salvator Rosa; Dutch and Flemish painters such as Rubens; and European works from Velazquez, Delacroix, and Gauguin. The Museum also holds many pieces of decorative art, like Worcester porcelain, Gorham silver, Tiffany glass, Gallé, Dale Chihuly, and Catherine “Cappy” Thompson glass. Photography is also highlighted, displaying historical images from the Civil War and the Civil Rights Movement.
