Die Progress Pride-Flagge wurde von Daniel Quasar als Neuauflage der Pride-Flagge entworfen, die ursprünglich 1978 vom Künstler Gilbert Baker entworfen wurde. (Eine von Bakers Regenbogenfahnen befindet sich in der Sammlung des Museum of Modern Art.) Diese Version fügt am linken Rand neue Farben hinzu, die transsexuelle und marginalisierte Gemeinschaften repräsentieren, in Form eines Pfeils, der den Fortschritt anzeigt, während die traditionellen Farben des Pride-Regenbogens erhalten bleiben der Hauptteil des Designs.
