Gedenkglasskulptur zum 50-jährigen Jubiläum

Kimberly McKinnis is an artist, educator, and curator originally from Southern California. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art with a concentration in glass and a Master of Fine Arts in exhibition design, both from California State University, Fullerton. She relocated to Norfolk, Virginia to participate in the studio assistantship program at the Chrysler Museum of Art’s Perry Glass Studio. In her personal studio practice, she utilizes a variety of media, including silver, glass, video, and performance. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and featured in publications such as the New Glass Review by the Corning Museum of Glass. She currently teaches at Old Dominion University and The Governor’s School for the Arts and is a member of the Perry Glass Studio team.

John R.G. Roth is an associate professor of art at Old Dominion University. His work has been seen internationally in Canada and London and in exhibitions around the country, including Slowinski Gallery and Allan Stone Projects in New York, the Contemporary Art Workshop in Chicago, and the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in sculpture and painting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in art education and industrial arts education from Northern Michigan University. Before pursuing art education, Roth held positions in construction and retail management and worked on dairy farms and at a lumber mill, a furniture factory, and a chemical plant. He also taught art for students in grades K-6 in a four-room schoolhouse in rural Michigan. His career teaching sculpture spans twenty-six years, and he is represented by the Mayer Fine Art Gallery.
