Ulrich Bischoff ist Kunsthistoriker und Publizist. Von 1994 bis 2013 war er Direktor der Gemäldegalerie Neue Meister der Staatlichen Kunstsammlungen Dresden. Er hat zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen zu den Themen Klassische Moderne und Gegenwartskunst verfasst.
