Delisch Designer Jewelry by Denise Perla Peacock

Delisch Designer Jewelry

Denise Perla Peacock came to jewelry design via an eclectic route. A native of London, yet raised for some of her childhood years in the British countryside, she is inspired by both urban landscapes and pastoral vistas.

Following college, Denise worked in creative magazine publishing, graphics and branding, constantly exposed to the diversity of man-made objects, art photography, niche marketing and design. A year-long sabbatical in her late 20's found her traveling the world on a shoestring, marveling at the rich, vibrant cultures of India, Indonesia, Japan and Nepal, and fascinated by the beauty of artisanal production there.

Marriage and work led her to New York, where she continued in graphic design, and studied photography. Family ties brought her to California, where she began to explore her creativity more fully, while raising her two daughters. Always having had a love for jewelry, she started to create her own, using found objects, and was quickly taken up by local retailers. Realizing she had found her calling, she studied jewelry making techniques with local experts and at the Revere Academy, San Francisco.

Her company Delisch, founded in 2004, featured beautiful beaded jewelry, sought after for its' unusual color palettes and artistic style. Recent design directions see the playfulness and color of her earlier work combining with added texture, depth and fresh elements, including a greater use of mixed metals and hand-wrought design, resulting in a more refined and modern aesthetic.
