About the Artist

Alicia Schultz

Alicia never thought that art could be a career, though she always had art supplies at hand. Instead, she became an elementary school teacher and taught for a handful of years in NYC.

She didn’t truly embrace the process of making art – and of letting go of the fear of the unknown – until she was in her late 20s and became a new mother. Alicia cites “witnessing the bravery and fearlessness of my sweet little girl” as her inspiration to make art daily.

Alicia utilizes the magic of hand lettering, drawing, and painting as her "art answer" to life. She embraces the journey to becoming an artist and recommends to any emerging artist: "Let go of the fear of not knowing by just creating daily!"
