These tiny vehicles are made by hand using upcycled metal cans. Made by an extended family in a small village on the island of Madagascar. Although they resemble toys, they are for decorative use only, and should never be given to children to play with due to small parts and the potential for sharp edges. Given the nature of these, each one is unique. Our assortment includes cars (sedans, convertibles, trucks, minivans, SUVs, station wagons), train engines, tugboats, tractors, and airplanes. If you have a preference, please indicate in the notes at checkout. Otherwise, we will choose one for you.

About the Supplier

The East Africa Co.

A native of New Zealand, Steve Parkes has been travelling to and from Africa, trading with the locals, for more than 25 years. Thriving on the personal connections he has made with his friends in Mali, South Africa, the Ivory Coast and other places, he returns to visit and trade with them twice a year. Peter (who makes the wire rings), Bart (who makes toy cars and planes from tin cans), and Peace Corp Baba (who makes woven bangles) have become long-time friends and business partners.
