About Written Manifesto
About Written Manifesto

Phillip J. Pearcy, who weaves under the moniker "Written Manifesto," began his exploration of fibers as a medium for expression while attending Old Dominion University. By the time Phillip finished weaving his first piece, a 40 × 60 inch blanket of mercerized pearle cotton and merino wool, he'd been bitten by the weaving bug.
Phillip graduated from ODU in 2017, and has since established his own weaving studio, where he focuses on creating unique pieces in various fibers. (No two scarves are alike!)
In addition to weaving, Phillip is also a full-time staff member at the Chrysler Museum of Art, and you may spot him in the galleries wearing one of his creations on your next visit.
