Chrysler To Go Activity Kit #3: Bean Mosaic
As you venture through your day, you’ll likely walk across lots of different surfaces—stone, tile, wood, and cement to name a few. The ancient Romans were not the first nor the last to think of decorating the floor. The pieces of floor, featuring a camel, a peacock, and some text, are displayed in the Museum as awesome examples of mosaics. A mosaic includes smaller pieces of material such as stone, glass, and tile that are arranged to create a bigger picture. In this activity, you’ll use a variety of beans to make a mosaic of your own.
