Kristi Totoritis

California-born artist Kristi Totoritis received a Master of Visual Arts from The Australian National University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. Totoritis is an active instructor at The Visual Art Center of Richmond, The Chrysler Museum of Art’s Perry Glass Studio and The Glass Spot. She studied at various craft schools including Pilchuck Glass School, The Studio at Corning, The Bullseye Resource Center, Pittsburg Glass Center, Urban Glass, Penland School of Crafts and The Canberra Glass Works. Since 2009 she has owned a production company under the name of heartcoreglass and continues to develop her adornment objects while also functioning as a full-time fine artist and educator. Currently, she resides in Richmond, Virginia continuing her research into making contemporary glass memento mori and objects examining the sentimental kitsch.
