The Juneteenth Flag was designed by Ben Haith, founder of the National Juneteenth Celebration Foundation in 1997 and is a symbolic representation of the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth was made a Federal Holiday when President Biden signed it into law in 2021. Read more about Juneteenth at the Library of Congress. Here at the Chrysler Museum, we celebrate the Juneteenth Holiday by hosting a Family Day at the museum.

About the Designer

Flags For Good

Michael Green started Flags for Good in 2020 out of a lifelong obsession with flags (seriously: see Michael's TED talk about them), quarantine boredom, and societal rage.

What is the "For Good" part? Well, Flags For Good only makes flags that they believe in, and then donates a portion of each sale to a relevant world-changing organization.
